Innovation is the applicative dimension of an invention or discovery.
If we searched the web for an appropriate definition of innovation, the first we would find is certainly this one from Wikipedia. But is it really so?
Personally, I have always attributed to this word a dimension that is closer to the Intention than to that of mere Application. It is also true that without its applicative confirmation, therefore the measure in the world of things, an intention remains in the dimension of ideas, in that limbo where everything is possible or perhaps not. But it is precisely this dimension that has made seemingly impossible or, better said, difficult for others to understand great and possible things. This is why I think that an Innovation, when truly such, retains its value regardless of the ability of these others to appreciate, understand and apply it.
I simply think its time curves in a different direction and that sooner or later these others will also meet.
